At the beginning of quarantine I would get a lot of takeout or just make pasta at home because it was quick and easy. Since I was so bored, I would eat a lot and I got tired of eating the same food everyday. This is when I started spending more time at the grocery store, planning out my meals, and getting fresher ingredients. I replaced chicken nuggets with salads, chicken and rice, shrimp tacos, etc. This overall made me feel better because I knew I was eating things that were healthier for my body and were more fresh. When we did eat out though, I would try to order a healthier option with a few cheat days here and there. The shift in foods I was eating during quarantine helped me stay healthy and I was also able to find new recipes that I still use now.
